Lactoferrin is the protein that makes colostrum (the first milk) so valuable. However, colostrum also contains several undesirable components, such as growth factors (e.g., IGF-1), milk proteins, lactose, and hormones.
GAL Lactoferrin Plus, in contrast, is free from these components (although it may contain traces of milk protein). It includes all three types of lactoferrin naturally found in colostrum, with a predominance of apo-lactoferrin — the most valuable form among them.
