We primarily recommend our product for individuals who consume little egg yolk and liver. According to EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority), the recommended daily intake of choline for adults is at least 400 mg.
One egg yolk contains approximately 100–150 mg of choline, while 100 g of liver provides around 200–450 mg. Other foods generally contain only small amounts of choline (with the exception of caviar, brain, and a few less commonly consumed foods). Therefore, anyone who does not consume 2–3 egg yolks daily and preferably liver at least once a week may find it difficult to reach even the 400 mg daily intake.
Adequate choline intake is important because it contributes to proper digestion (through supporting stomach acid production), normal liver function, homocysteine metabolism, and fat metabolism.
Our product provides choline in the form of a choline salt (choline chloride), which we selected because it is a stable, well-absorbed form widely used in scientific studies. Additionally, it requires no carrier substances other than water.
